Bonnie Raitt supports the LES appeal

On September 21, 2006, at the Journal Pavilion in Albuquerque, Bonnie Raitt, donated some premium seats as a benefit for the LES Appeal. She also participated in a post-concert reception and expressed her continued support for SRIC’s work.

In addition to being a long-time supporter of SRIC, Bonnie also has a long history of supporting the Nuclear Information and Resource Service (NIRS), which is one of the parties in the lawsuit that is pending before the District of Columbia Court of Appeals.

The thousands of attendees at the concert were highly enthusiastic and appreciative of the great music. Some in the audience also received additional information about the LES Appeal, SRIC’s projects, and renewable energy, and signed the NIRS Petition for Sustainable Energy.

SRIC, NIRS, and Public Citizen staff and board members express their great appreciation to Bonnie Raitt for her continued support and her dedication to sustainable energy. SRIC also thanks the dozens of people who purchased the premium tickets and attended the concert and post-concert reception.
