MISSION: Southwest Research and Information Center is a multi-cultural organization working to promote the health of people and communities, protect natural resources, ensure citizen participation, and secure environmental and social justice now and for future generations
SRIC Donor Campaign Update

When Southwest Research and Information Center launched its annual donor campaign in November 2003, we asked donors to increase their donation over the previous year - and many of our donors answered our call. We thank all those individuals who contributed to SRIC and whose generous contributions have allowed us to continue our work on issues related to environmental health and equity and economic concerns related to the environment.

However, we still need YOUR support - there's lots more to do in 2004! If you have not yet donated for our work in 2004, we urge you to do so.
You can now securely donate online at www.sric.org. If this doesn't appeal to you, we can take a credit card donation over the phone, or you can mail your donation to us at Southwest Research and Information Center, PO Box 4524, Albuquerque, NM 87196.
Let's work together to protect the environment and health of our children, our grandchildren, and all the children of future generations of New Mexico.
SRIC Welcomes New Board Member

SRIC would like to welcome Steve Fox as the newest member of our Board of Directors. Steve has been a supporter of the center for many years, and a contributor to our former publication The Workbook, (see Isleta Pueblo Water issue). He has highlighted critical environmental issues, such as Latina workers at the former GTE plant. His involvement and presentation of history, integrated with stories of worker women and their attorney, shows a complex intermingling of working class women's lives. This involvement was the basis for his book entitled "Toxic Work," published by Temple University Press.

Submissions Wanted

We are looking for voluntary assistance with our publication Voices from the Earth. If you are interested in writing a book review, or if you have an article you think we should print, please contact Annette Aguayo, Editor, at (505) 262-1862 or Admin@sric.org. We reserve the right to use or edit submissions. No press releases, please.
